EXAMPLE DOOR & PULLEY CONFIGURATIONS
When using pulleys, always make sure that the motor is only lifting up to its rated capacity and always take into consideration the effect of friction as this is “seen” by the motor as extra weight.
Also be mindful that when lifting heavier doors there will also be a reduction in the usable battery life. The science is pretty straight forward – the energy required to lift a weighted door is the same, no matter how many pulleys are used, only the more pulleys one uses, the slower the door will travel.
