Helping the The Happy Pants Ranch
The H
appy Pants Ranch is a little safe haven for over 100 unwanted and abandoned animals. Happy Pants received some rave reviews and comments for their hard work as part of one of our recent competitions on Facebook. It is immediately obvious that they are tremendously dedicated and put in an extraordinary amount of time and effort to help rescue and rehome a range of pets.

As a little help of our own we have donated a ChickenGuard Premium Combi with our new Self-Locking Door. We hope it will help the Happy Pants Ranch care for their rehomed and rescued chooks.
The Happy Pants Ranch is run by Amey. It is home to many different species of animals all with one thing in common – they have been rehomed or given up by their previous owners. Turkeys, pigs, chickens, ducks, guinea pigs, rabbits, skinny pigs, dogs, cats, cockerels, and of course, chickens, all reside on The Ranch in North Kent.
In total over 200 animals have been helped since the Ranch was founded in 2011. Now they are happy and well cared for for life.

As Amey from the Happy Ranch tells us they all have a story to tell: “we have a pig that was living in a tent on a building site; chickens destined for slaughter from egg farms; a turkey seized by the RSPCA as part of a cruelty case; pigs that were kept in appalling living conditions… the list goes on. And although most of their tales have a really heartbreaking beginning, one thing is for sure… on The Happy Pants Ranch their stories all have a happy ending!”

Happy Pants are now even undertaking visits to local schools giving talks to children about responsible pet ownership as well. Important work to keep rehomes and rescues to a minimum.
