What made you go into the poultry business
It all started with 3 chickens. Like so many enthusiasts it grew and grew. Then we started breeding, then showing and now we provide everything needed for the beginner and expert, from Coops, supplies, to a variety of pure bred and hybrid Chickens.
Fun fact about your pets / hens
When showing birds, many have to be washed beforehand. This means there are feathers all over the kitchen, especially when the hair dryer blasts them! They do enjoy sitting in warm water though, but look a bit disgruntled when they are damp at the end of the exercise.
What makes you special and standout from other similar businesses
We are rescuing some very rare pure breeds that are facing extinction, most of these breeds are Bantams, which are very popular in small gardens. We provide a hatch in school service, are on various breed club committees and help to run the largest show in the UK, the National Federation of Poultry Club Show, held yearly.
What is your best selling product
Hybrid egg layers are the most popular birds we sell due to their fantastic reliable egg laying.
What do you think of ChickenGuard
We have found ChickenGuard to be very reliable and robust and suited to all of the coops we sell. It certainly makes peoples busy lives a lot easier and takes the worry out of keeping your birds safe.
