Have had two of the string models that lasted for years. The all in one model avoids me having to Rube Goldberg a door and track. The cog railway system for the door is genius.

Easy installation and the extension kit is great. I can program it, open and close it from outside the coop. I like the solar option as well. I don’t have to worry about batteries going bad. It is reliable and opens and closes when it is supposed to. Now I don’t have to wake up at 5:00am on the weekends anymore to let the chicks out.

Would highly recommend. I've used a few other chicken door openers. This one is very easy to install or move and works great !

I’m initially very happy with this door. It was a breeze to install.

Set up was tricky (with configuring). But has been a massive time saver and I feel like my chickens are so much safer with this. It was easy to install and surprisingly the chickens didn't spook with the small sound it makes. They have very easily adapted to it.

It was easy to install and works great. I have it on manual function until I get there run installed.

Very durable and secure construction. I found it nice that I could set a specific time to open, to keep the rooster in a l later, and let the light sensor close it. I really like this door but really needs to have app access and maybe even cameras accessible by app too.

The chickens are safe at night because once the Chickenguard auto door closes, you cannot just lift it up by hand like other doors, it locks down. I have purchased 3 of these, one for each coop and only had an issue one time, the batteries that are included are a no name type and, in a hurry, I installed those. About 2 months went by and one morning the door wasn't open and I thought oh no, what's wrong, this is a brand new door?! I changed the batteries using a reliable NAME BRAND battery and the door started working again no problems. I easily go 8 months on a name brand battery without having to change it so just go ahead and spring for some good batteries for your Chickenguard door, it's worth it! The chickens sleep great and so do I knowing they're super safe and I don't have to run out there first thing on the ice cold mornings!
