Easy installation and the extension kit is great. I can program it, open and close it from outside the coop. I like the solar option as well. I don’t have to worry about batteries going bad. It is reliable and opens and closes when it is supposed to. Now I don’t have to wake up at 5:00am on the weekends anymore to let the chicks out.

Would highly recommend. I've used a few other chicken door openers. This one is very easy to install or move and works great !

I already have the older version with the pull string and I mounted that one inside the coop to prevent the door tracks from filling with ice and snow, otherwise I love that one. This newer version is even more simplified, and I like the gear that rolls the metal door up and down. This one is mounted outside, so I’ll report back if weather in the tracks proves to be an issue, however I only had to move the covering over the door out an inch to give this door plenty of room to open upwards! The one downside are the holes in the door so far as drafts go, so make sure you have your door placed out of the wind and/or away from the roosting areas for smaller coops. Ultimately love these doors, love the different closing options, love the amazing use of battery life (they last SO LONG!). Great option, safe for hens in the doorway, highly recommend!

This is an excellent automated door for the chicken coop. I also love the easy steps to install the automated door. Everything is quick and easy. Most importantly, this device has never caused any harm to the chickens. NB: the weather proof system is one of my favorites.
