I've been running the ChickenGuard openers for almost 5 years now in Alaska. I recently had my old unit start slipping. I installed a new Pro model yesterday without any issue, it seems to be an upgrade. I'd like to get a replacement motor for my old model just to have as a spare. The one thing that wasn't clear to me during my purchase, was that you will need to buy the DC power adapter separately. Also, if you want DC with battery backup, you will need to purchase rechargeable batteries.

I attempted to sign up for a three (3) year warrantee, however the link on the web page is expired. I then sent an inquire to learn steps to extend the warrantee. This is still unresolved.

Quite a few changes from my last one from 2018. I like everything you updated. Hope this one lasts at least as long. Maybe will use up batteries faster. Time will tell.

Highly recommend the chicken guard and door for your coop. Makes life so much easier! First one lasted over 7 years. Couldn’t get the second one fast enough… getting up at 5 to let the chickens out got old really fast. 😂 would totally buy again and completely recommend.

Installed a replacement motor/control box for our hen house. The original one served us well for six years. We love the sensor opening and closing option. the chickens love it too! Thanks for a great product

I have had an automatic door for 10 years. Has not failed me once. The new one is for another coop. It has worked as expected. Great piece of mind. Don’t have to worry about my ladies being safe at night.

I bought one of these 3 years ago. I live close to the canadian border and it gets really cold here. I havent seen issues with the unit itself. So far the only issues I've experienced is in the winter with battery life. I use it inside my coup with the timer settings and lifting a DIY OSB access door thats close to the max advertized. I'm getting ready to buy a second one so I can open my enclosed run and allow my girls to free range.
